You can apply for a NSW City Rail Ex-Member of Defence Forces Pass if you:
This pass means you can travel free on public transport ‒ rail, bus and ferry ‒ within NSW and rail in the ACT.
You also get 3 free Country Link return rail trips anywhere within NSW and the ACT per year.
Note: You can travel free of charge in the area bounded by Wollongong, Goulburn, Bathurst and Newcastle on any NSW Government-owned public transport.

The Department of Veterans' Affairs manages this and 2 other home schemes. These are:
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) advisors work at 35 bases across Australia to help you and your family better connect with DVA services. DVA advisors help you with health services, rehabilitation and compensation - support you might be entitled to access. Depending on need, advisors are available either full or part-time. The advisors work out of Defence Health Centres, or within the health precinct. This means, you can access the service wherever you are.

Are you injured or ill as a result of your Reserve service?
You may be entitled to remain on duty until you overcome your illness / injury and can return to work.
You may also be entitled to Defence Health Services (DHS) medical care or you may be refunded civilian health care costs.
