TFSPO Receives a Supportive Employer Award
Posted on: April 24, 2012
DRSC-NSW Chair Mr Mark Todd presented a plaque to Group Captain Daniel Reid at the Air Force Birthday celebrations at RAAF Williamtown in late March in front of dignitaries and business representatives from the Port Stephens and Newcastle region.
The award recognises TFSPO (The Tactical Fighter Systems Program Office) for releasing the many Reservists in their employ to meet their annual training commitment which in turn supports Air Force capability. Even though the TFSPO is a Defence employer many Reservists fill Public Service positions within the organisation and are keen to maintain trade and professional qualifications. These skills and experiences are often called upon to augment training in their civilian duties. Some Reservists have also augmented overseas operations in a short term full-time capacity.
