Defence Reserves Support South Australia Inaugural Boot Camp

Eight South Australian employers arrived early and eager to participate in the inaugural Boot Camp conducted by Defence Reserves Support SA (DRS SA) at Keswick Barracks last month.

Joined by several military members from the three services, the 'boot campers', were taken through a training session by Physical Training Instructor, Sergeant Damien King. This included components of the Pre-enlistment Fitness Assessment.

Dr Andrew Cannon, Chair Defence Reserves Support Council SA and Brigadier Mick Burgess, Commanding Officer Headquarters 9 Brigade joined the group for a hearty breakfast. Both acknowledged the importance of supportive employers to a Reservist's career and commended the 'boot campers' for participating so enthusiastically.

All who attended are eager to participate in future Boot Camps which DRS SA is scheduling for the warmer months.
