Employer Support Awards - TAS Mar 2017

Tasmania Employers Thanked for Support

Three local employers have been recognised for their exemplary support for employees serving as Australian Defence Force Reservists.

The Tasmania Defence Reserves Support Council Employer Support Awards were held on Friday 31 March at Government House.

Her Excellency Professor The Honourable Kate Warner AC, Governor of Tasmania presented the Awards.

Head Reserve and Youth Division Rear Admiral Bruce Kafer also offered his congratulations to the award recipients.

"Our Reservists significantly enhance Defence capability. Without the ongoing support of employers, it would not be possible for Reservists to effectively synchronize their civilian and Service occupations."

"These awards clearly demonstrate the value Defence places on the importance of the relationship with employers."

The 2017 winners are:

  • Small business: Modern Musician
  • Large business: Scotch Oakburn College and St Lukes Health (Joint winners)
