New England and Central North Committee new Chair – March 17

Handing Over the Baton

Glenn Jones has retired as Chair of the Defence Reserves Support Council (DRSC) New England and Central North Committee after 10 years in the role. Glenn welcomed the new DRSC Chair Chris Celovic at the DRSC New South Wales (NSW) state meeting on 24 March 2017.

Glenn said his time with the DRSC has been a wonderful opportunity to give back to the Defence Force in a meaningful and productive way.

"I have been blessed with the unwavering support of my Regional Manager Captain Shane Green, my Deputy Mr Chris Celovic and the rest of the regional committee."

"I hand over the region with a solid foundation in our relationship with the business chamber and the community and I am sure Chris has the talent and passion to continue to grow and further support our Reservists and their employers." said Glenn.

Over his three year term, Chris Celovic said that he will be building on the outstanding work done by Glenn, by increasing supportive employers in the region and continuing to develop activities to showcase the benefits of Reserve service to employers.

"There has never been a better time to have a Defence Reservist employed." said Chris.

Mark Todd, DRSC NSW Chair and the Council thanked Glenn and acknowledged his drive and commitment to the DRSC New England and Central North Committee.
